Traveler

To my fellow wanderers, travelers, dreamers and drifters, Throw out the question of how it may happen. In fact, throw out any thought that goes against your vision of getting some place and doing what you love. The world needs you and if you do, you’ll be left with the sheer will to make it happen… and it will transform you.

sun-drenched-elsewhere

A lil bit about me: I have an extensive background as a performing artist, dance teacher/choreographer, and international volunteer. I have traveled the whole U.S., currently working in Los Angeles, and began volunteering abroad in 2008. My motivation was to bring dance & music to children in impoverished parts of the world. In hopes of bringing that dream to fruition, I started this blog to gain awareness and support for my vision. I will forever be indebted to this platform as it lit the spark that turned my dream into a reality. As a receptive audience grew so did the support. And with that generosity , I was able to make my first solo trip and I never looked back…

I began teaching English and offering free dance classes in remote places. My international volunteer experience includes work with: “The Street Kids Project”at Sinethemba Youth Development Center and The Dorothy Broster Orphanage, in Knysna, South Africa (2010), Wat Kui Buri Elementary School, in Southern Thailand (2011) and extensive work in Indonesia with the children at The Robin Carlson Children’s Language Program, in Ubud, Candidasa and Lovina, Bali (2011-2012).

Teaching children and blogging my way through these experiences were great sources of personal and professional growth. I continue seeking opportunities that deepen my connection to the world. I hope to continue finding ways to be of service, looking for new places that could benefit from my unique and creative skill set. I am ready for my next adventure, wherever that may be, to inspire both the young and young at heart!
