ONE MISSION:
1. Raise $2400 in 2 months to fund The Robin Carlson English Language Schools in Bugbug Village, Bali for ONE YEAR!
TWO REASONS TO CARE:
1. “Nearly a billion people entered the 21st century unable to read a book” (The State of the World’s Children, 1999, UNICEF).
2. “Less than 1% of what the world spent every year on weapons was needed to put every child into school by the year 2000 and yet it didn’t happen” (State of the World, Issue 287 – Feb 1997, New Internationalist).
THREE FACTS TO CONSIDER:
1. It only costs $200 a month to provide Free English Education 6 days a week to the children of an entire Balinese village. Classes are taught by English-speaking Balinese with the assistance of English-speaking volunteers and provides 30-50 kids, who could not otherwise afford it, a chance to learn English!
2. “The $2400 Mission” has the potential to raise and cover the cost of: books, supplies, desks, and teachers (to run the school) for ONE ENTIRE YEAR!
3. If 120 people decided to forgo a $20 restaurant meal this mission would be accomplished.
